Highgate Garden design.
this garden design was for an 18th century house in highgate, london n6, that underwent extensive renovations.it included a glass living room extending into the garden. This Highgate garden is positioned on a hill and an odd 'T' shape. several levels had to be incorporated into the garden design to make it usable. Due to being in a Highgate conservation area and a tpo a mature lime tree had to be included in the garden design.
During the build I stepped in to build the retaining walls for the new levels and replaced all of the old fencing.
New plantings, 1st season.
The new patio under construction which leads out from the glass extension.
The new glass extension leads out onto the patio which leads up to the 1st terrace.
The new patio as viewed from the living room season 2.
All the fencing needed replacing and retaining walls built to create levels and terraces.
The 1st level up from the patio was designed as a pottager garden. Sympathetic new fencing. Season 2.
The mature Lime tree to the left had to be incorporated into the garden design due to a TPO & being in the Highgate conservation area.
