An Edwardian house that underwent extensive renovations throughout. The garden was already a small space and the new extension took a big chunk out of it.
The client brief was for a clean modern space with lots of room for entertaining,
An artificial lawn was requested as it was such a small area but a soft play area was needed.
I softened the impact of the lawn by creating a big perennial and herb bed to break the sight lines from the house.
A large sawn york stone l shaped patio leads seamlessly out from the house.
Oak sleeper path leads through the flower beds to the lawn.
Benches were also to be used as storage.
